AWS DevOps Engineer x3 (Contract)

Location: England Country: UK Rate: £500 - £600 per day

Location: Hybrid - Occasional On-site
Rate: £500 - £600 INSIDE IR35
Clearance Level: SC
Duration: 6 months - Possible extensions

My client are an innovative digital and cloud transformation consultancy. They are trusted to deliver significant technology transformation programmes within both the public and private sectors

AWS DevOps Engineer role:

As an DevOps Engineer you'll be working as part of a diverse team, Embedded into one of the clients public sector accounts, the team will be responsible for building a new strategic hosting platforming using AWS & AWS Landing Zone accelerator. You'll be contributing to the teams ways of working as well as the internal engineering capability.

Day to Day Activities:

  • Collaborate with Security & Architecture teams to design and build end to end platform capability.
  • Implement and maintain IaC, CI/CD, MRs (GitOps) practices to manage infrastructure and application configurations through version-controlled repositories.
  • Adhere to and champion Agile development principles, promoting iterative development, continuous improvement, and team collaboration.
  • Troubleshoot and optimise build pipelines for efficiency.
  • Experience with containerisation technologies such as Docker, container networking, and storage management.
  • Work with leadership & product teams to define evolve and improve product road maps
  • Implement security best practices and ensure the reliability and scalability of infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with development teams to define resource requirements and deploy and manage applications on AWS

AWS DevOps Engineer Requirements:

  • Proven track record designing solutions using AWS products & Services
  • Knowledge of the AWS Well-Architected Framework
  • AWS Landing Zone accelerator
  • CloudFormation, Terraform & AWS Service Catalogue
  • Github Actions and Typescript
  • Experience working with Public Sector, Central Government OR Defence
  • Active Security Clearance
