Lab Engineer - Microsoft, Win 10/11, Chromatography Data Systems, Mass Spec, Empower - On-site Hertfordshire, UK

A large global organisation are seeking Lab Engineers to provide hands-on support for laboratory instrumentation, alongside desktop support responsibilities. The role includes managing hardware inventory, troubleshooting technical issues and supporting Windows 10/11 upgrades/migration activities.

This will be an initial 12 months+ contract with the opportunity for multiple extensions.
This position will be based on-site in Hertfordshire, UK.

Key Skills/Responsibilities:

• Solid experience working with recent and latest OS platforms (Microsoft, Linux, IOS)
• Previous exposure to laboratory instrumentation such as Chromatography Data Systems, Mass Spec and Empower a plus
• Experience with Win 10/11 Upgrades & Migrations
• Manage hardware inventory Laptops and Desktop Systems
• Troubleshoot and repair hardware/software issues
• Configure, install, patch compile and manage licenses for PCs within laboratories
• Work with external vendors and organisation owners to resolve problems with lab systems
• Ensure network and backup needs of end users are being met related to lab PC connectivity
• Decommissioning
• Expertise of ServiceNow for incident management and ticketing
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Tools such as Excel, Word and Teamsite for tracking and reporting purposes
