Azure Technial Project Manager (Must have recent Azure Migration experience)

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Technical Project Department delivering with the Software Engineering team based in our London Head office. As a strong Agile Project Manager your role will be responsible for managing the deliverables to replace a Legacy platform and its migration to Azure Cloud. (please only respond if you have recent experience of this)

You will manage the end to end planning including producing the various artefacts needed to support the project migration and its cutover whilst working closely with Software Development, 3rd parties, architecture and product teams. You need to excel in an Agile development environment including facilitating ceremonies and planning sprint development work to manage the software engineering velocity, reviewing progress against plan and resolving impediments which impact team throughput. (you must have recent experience of this)

As you will be responsible for managing the deliverables, you have exceptional communication and influencing skills in order to lead at your Steering Group and its senior committee, who are the ultimate decision authority on your project

Responsibilities for the Azure Technical Project Manager

Your responsibilities will be to:

• Manage various Agile Project responsibilities such as planning, scheduling, coordinating, and the project burndown
• Prepare, manage and distribute the governance needed to meet the standards including status reports of the project, RAIDS, burn downs and financial forecasts
• Identify and support correction of deviations from plans ensuring track, escalate and facilitate resolution of Scrum impediments
• Support the Technical Lead in managing expectations for project deliverables, managing stakeholder communications about delivery, and helping to implement an effective system of project governance

Delivery

• Ensuring Scope (in scope and out of scope) is clearly defined at an appropriate level for Agile delivery, approved at initiation and managed and controlled throughout delivery
• Proactively identify risks, issue, dependencies and assumptions and work to communicate, manage, escalate, and mitigate (or accept in certain circumstances) them successfully throughout the project lifecycle
• Ensure clear roles and responsibilities are set at project initiation across the extended project delivery and stakeholder team, ensuring people understand their responsibilities and commitments associated with these
• Specialist engagement - ensure that all projects, as part of initiation, engage with the relevant specialist areas to assure delivery. These include, but are not limited to: Data Protection, Information Security, Legal, Procurement, IT and Data Office
• Ensure Scope, Cost and Time changes are managed within tolerance and change control is used to agree those changes beyond tolerance, with robust planning and project management allowing early identification of potential changes
