Amass Technology are looking for a Head of Central Delivery Office (CDO) for a long term contract to perm position.

The role will be fully remote. Circa £85,000 - 90,000 per annum when it turns permanent.

The Head of the Central Delivery Office (CDO) is accountable for the successful execution of strategic, cross-functional initiatives across group.one, ensuring delivery outcomes directly support the organisation's highest-level objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

• Define and lead the vision, mandate, and operating model of the Central Delivery Office in alignment with corporate OKRs and transformation priorities.

• Partner closely with executive leadership to convert strategic direction into clear, executable delivery plans.

Portfolio & Programme Governance

• Own and oversee a portfolio of high-impact, business-critical initiatives, ensuring consistent delivery against agreed outcomes.

• Chair portfolio reviews to track progress, manage dependencies and trade-offs, and maintain focus on priority initiatives.

Operational Excellence

• Establish and embed standardised delivery frameworks, governance, and tooling to improve speed, quality, and transparency of execution.

• Implement data-driven performance management to drive accountability, milestone discipline, and continuous improvement.

People Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement

• Lead, coach, and develop senior project and programme managers to strengthen enterprise delivery capability.

• Act as a trusted partner to senior stakeholders, aligning on scope and expectations and resolving critical delivery risks impacting strategic objectives.

Candidate Profile

• 7+ years' experience in programme or portfolio management, including a minimum of 3 years in a senior leadership role.

• Demonstrated success delivering complex, enterprise-wide initiatives aligned to strategic business goals.

• Proven experience establishing, scaling, or transforming a PMO, CDO, or equivalent strategic delivery function.

• Relevant certifications (PMI, PRINCE2, Agile, or similar) preferred.

• Strong strategic mindset with excellent leadership and stakeholder management capability.

• Deep expertise in portfolio governance, OKR alignment, and delivery frameworks.

• Outstanding communication, facilitation, and negotiation skills.

• Track record of achieving measurable business outcomes through disciplined, structured delivery.
