SOC Analyst

This is an internal central SOC role, responsible for running day-to-day security operations and managing all security alerts and tickets received from the MSSP.

• Day Rate: £450pd
• IR35 Status: Inside
• Duration: 6 months initially
• Travel: 3 days a week in Central London

This SOC Analyst will have the previous following experience:

• Responsible for validating, triaging, and progressing security incidents in line with agreed SLAs and organisational risk appetite, ensuring high-quality alerting, effective incident response, and clear evidential closure.
• Manages the full lifecycle of security tickets, inbound security requests, and security exceptions, delivering clear, risk-based decisions while maintaining strong audit trails for governance, risk, and compliance.
• Acts as a pragmatic and approachable security advisor to the wider business, translating technical security issues into clear, business-focused risk statements and escalating decisively where risk exceeds tolerance.
• Drives operational improvement by refining SOC processes, runbooks, and playbooks, holding the MSSP to account through service reviews, and feeding lessons learned into detection, prevention, and reporting.
