Company Introduction
We have an exciting opportunity now available with one of our sector-leading consultancy clients! They are currently looking for a skilled Aladdin API Specialist to join a London based team on a 6 month contract.

Job Responsibilities/Objectives
This role sits at the intersection of technology and investment operations, requiring strong hands-on experience with BlackRock Aladdin APIs alongside solid functional understanding of front-to-back investment workflows.
The successful candidate will act as a bridge between engineering teams and investment stakeholders, helping design, integrate, and support Aladdin-based solutions.

• Act as an Aladdin subject matter expert, with a focus on API-based integrations
• Design, build, and support integrations between Aladdin and internal/external systems
• Translate business and investment requirements into technical API solutions
• Work closely with portfolio managers, operations, risk, and technology teams
• Support trade life cycle, positions, risk, and analytics data flows
• Troubleshoot functional and technical issues across Aladdin integrations
• Contribute to solution design, documentation, and best practices

Required Skills/Experience
The ideal candidate will have the following:

• Strong experience working with BlackRock Aladdin, including API integrations
• Solid understanding of front-to-back investment management processes
  (eg order management, trade life cycle, positions, risk, analytics)
• Experience working in a functional/techno-functional role
• API integration experience (REST, data mapping, system interfaces)
• Ability to engage confidently with both technical teams and business stakeholders
• Experience in asset management, investment banking, or financial services

Desirable Skills/Experience
Although not essential, the following skills are desired by the client:

• Hands-on Back End development experience (Java, Python, .NET or similar)
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)
• Knowledge of data transformation, messaging, or event-driven architectures
• Prior experience in Aladdin implementation or upgrade programmes
