We are heading up a recruitment drive for a global consultancy that require a Workplace Technology Reporting Analyst to join them on a major government project that's based in Reading (hybrid).
Role Description:
The Workplace Technology Reporting Analyst is responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing reporting, metrics, and performance insights across all Workplace Technology domains. The role ensures that Service Management Layer (SML) services are supported with accurate, timely, and actionable data - enabling informed decision making, SLA adherence, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
Working across Productivity, Identity & Access Management (IAM), Hardware, Endpoint, and Collaboration domains, the analyst provides a unified view of service health, risk, compliance, and user experience. The role plays a critical part in strengthening governance, optimising service performance, and supporting product led delivery models.
Key Responsibilities
SLA, KPI, and Performance Reporting
Develop and maintain dashboards, scorecards, and reports that track SLAs, KPIs, OLAs, and operational metrics across all Workplace Technology domains.
Monitor service performance trends, identifying risks, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement.
Produce monthly and quarterly service performance packs for leadership, including narrative insights and recommendations.
Ensure reporting aligns with SML requirements and supports governance forums, service reviews, and audit needs.
Cross Domain Reporting Support
Productivity Domain:
o Track adoption, usage, and performance of Microsoft 365 services (Teams, Outlook, SharePoint, OneDrive, Viva, Power Platform).
o Report on tenant health, licence optimisation, compliance posture, and user support trends.
o Provide insights into collaboration behaviours and productivity tool performance.
Identity & Access Management (IAM) Domain:
o Monitor SSO, MFA, provisioning/deprovisioning performance, access request SLAs, and compliance metrics.
o Produce reporting that supports Zero Trust principles, identity hygiene, and access governance.
o Highlight anomalies, access risks, and operational inefficiencies.
Hardware Domain:
o Track device life cycle performance including procurement, deployment, break/fix, inventory accuracy, and disposal.
o Report on refresh cycles, device reliability, and adherence to hardware standards.
o Provide insights into stock levels, supplier performance, and user satisfaction.
Endpoint Domain:
o Monitor OS life cycle compliance, patching success rates, autopatch performance, and endpoint security posture.
o Report on Intune/SCCM deployment pipelines, application packaging success, and endpoint configuration drift.
o Provide compliance dashboards to support audit, risk, and operational governance.
Collaboration Domain:
Track performance and availability of meeting room systems, AV technology, printing services, and hybrid work tools.
Report on utilisation, incident trends, device health, and user experience metrics.
Provide insights to support capacity planning and technology optimisation.
Data Quality, Governance, and Continuous Improvement
Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across all reporting sources.
Maintain documentation for data models, definitions, and reporting standards.
Partner with Product Owners, Service Leads, and Engineering teams to refine metrics and improve data capture.
Support the evolution of product led delivery by embedding performance insights into backlog prioritisation and service roadmaps.
Stakeholder Engagement
Act as the central point of contact for Workplace Technology reporting needs.
Collaborate with domain teams to understand reporting requirements and translate them into meaningful outputs.
Present insights to technical and non technical audiences, ensuring clarity and relevance.
Support governance forums, risk reviews, and service improvement initiatives with evidence based insights.
Skills and Experience
Essential
Strong analytical skills with experience in service reporting, SLA management, or IT performance analysis.
Proficiency in data visualisation tools (eg, Power BI) and advanced Excel skills.
Understanding of ITIL practices, service management processes, and operational governance.
Ability to interpret complex data and translate it into clear, actionable insights.
Experience working with cross functional technology teams.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
Desirable
Experience within Workplace Technology, Digital Workplace, or End User Computing environments.
Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Intune, SCCM, identity platforms, or AV/meeting room technologies.
Knowledge of product led delivery models and continuous improvement frameworks.
Understanding of Zero Trust, compliance reporting, and endpoint security metrics.
