Communications Specialist (Contract)
Location: Amsterdam Country: Netherlands Rate: EUR50 - 58 per hour

Responsibilities:
- Partner with the Change Management Lead to develop & deliver internal communication artifacts that enable strategic alignment and employee engagement across all of the organisations departments (Business Units).
- Own the maintenance and execution of the communications.
- Network and build relationships with departmental PMOs to identify communication needs and contribute to the ongoing development of the comms plan (ie managing the backlog of communications challenges and opportunities).
- Articulate the program narrative, adapting as necessary for different organisations audiences.
- Deliver innovative and creative communication campaigns, using the organisations branding.
- Campaign artifacts egs: newsletters, slides, FAQs, documentation, workplace post series, video updates and in some cases in person event management such as all hands Q&As.
- Distill complex issues/ideas into simple, honest and compelling communication.
- Coach key partners in effective content creation and opportunities.
- Have a keen eye for detail with perfect written grammar and punctuation.
- Highly proficient and confident working with the google suite (sheets, docs management, slides, etc.) to build content and regularly update the communications plan.
- Support the development of the overall channel strategy for multi-directional communication.
- Develop ideas to encourage conversation and connection related to the Data Migration Program across the organisations.
- Ensure healthy participation in internal social media and communication events/forums.
- Incorporate regular feedback into the channel and community management, allowing them to grow and develop.
- Work with Change Manager to design feedback gathering initiatives before communications artifacts/campaigns have been delivered.
- Draw meaningful insights from analysis of feedback, and suggest improvements to ways of working
Skills:
- You have a bachelor's degree or equivalent
- 5+ years experience working in complex global internal communication programs in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with Journalistic skills: interviewing, writing, copy editing, proofreading.
- Proven experience creating and delivering communication strategies
- Able to run communication planning at a strategic/program level.
- Strong project management skills, ability to run multiple projects concurrently and prioritize effectively
- Ability to influence and build effective relationships with senior collaborators, and use those relationships to enable the best possible outcome for the organisation and employees.
- Ability to coach leaders and line managers to be effective communicators
- Ability to distill sophisticated issues/ideas into simple, honest and compelling communication; avoiding jargon and matching language to the needs of colleagues.
- Proven success working with internal (social) channels and community management.
- Understanding of organizational culture: which channels will work most effectively in different environments and why.
- Detailed understanding of channel monitoring, campaign evaluation, qualitative/quantitative feedback and survey analysis.
