Java Platform Engineer (Contract)
Location: Poland
 

Java Platform Engineers X3 | Based in Poland | Hybrid Contract | 6 months

  • 6 months Contract
  • Market Rates
  • End-Customer: Banking
  • Hybrid - 3 Days Mandatory

Critical Experience:

  • Experience developing and maintaining cloud-based infrastructure and applications.
  • Knowledge of Akamai, Kubernetes, Terraform.
  • Authentication/Authorization flows such as OAuth Token Exchange

Responsibilities:

  • Writing secure code using Java
  • Design, develop, code, and troubleshoot while considering both upstream and downstream systems and associated technical implications.
  • JIRA Backlog grooming activity.

Key Skills:

  • Recent experience with using a JVM language (Java/Scala/Kotlin)
  • Knowledge of data structures and algorithms
  • Understanding of distributed systems and microservices architecture
  • Understanding of RESTful APIs and web technologies
  • Proficiency in frameworks (Spring/Spring Boot)
  • Understanding of relational databases
  • Experience with unit testing using Mockito, Integration and End-to-end testing and other testing methodology.
  • UI technologies like ReactJs, JavaScript, CSS etc

Desired Skills:

  • Cloud technologies (AWS, GCP, Azure, etc.)
  • Understanding of security frameworks/standards
  • Understanding of data streaming and messaging frameworks (Kafka, Spark, etc.)
  • Understanding of distributed tracing and monitoring (Zipkin, OpenTracing, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, Micrometer metrics, etc.)
  • Understanding of containers (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, etc.)
  • Experience in automating deployment, releases and testing in CI/CD pipelines.
