Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Power BI Developer to support analytics initiatives focused on clinical and laboratory data. This is a hands-on individual contributor role for a strong technical professional who can both design and deliver high-quality reporting solutions in a regulated environment.

This role requires someone who is a doer and a thinker - able to take ownership, work independently, and translate complex data into clear, actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, build, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports for clinical and laboratory data
  • Work with LIMS and related data sources to model, transform, and visualize data accurately
  • Partner with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver effective analytics solutions
  • Develop robust data models and DAX calculations to support reliable reporting
  • Optimize report performance, usability, and scalability
  • Ensure adherence to data quality, governance, and compliance expectations
  • Collaborate with junior developers and provide technical guidance as needed
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve reporting processes and automation
Required Qualifications
  • 5-7+ years of hands-on Power BI development experience
  • Experience working with clinical data in life sciences or healthcare environments
  • LIMS experience required
  • Strong skills in:
  • Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service
  • DAX and data modeling
  • SQL and data transformation
  • Experience working in regulated environments
  • Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and drive work to completion
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Clear, effective communicator with both technical and non-technical audiences
Nice to Have
  • Experience supporting data integrations or system migrations
  • Familiarity with clinical or laboratory data standards
  • Exposure to cloud data platforms (eg, Azure, AWS, Snowflake)
