As the leading supplier to our client, one of the most instantly recognizable brands in the banking sector worldwide, Swisslinx are looking for an experienced PL1 Developer with around 5 years experience and the motivation to take on Business Analyst tasks for our client's Investment Reporting Team.

This is a rolling 12 month contract with a strong chance of extension and a start date ASAP (no later than June).

As the successful candidate you will join a diverse and dynamic team of 10 with various backgrounds and levels of experience.

The role is an integral part of a high performing team, delivering Investment Reporting solutions to the bank leveraging our Mainframe based solution, a strategic reporting platform absorbing and working with data of 20+ upstream applications and delivering data to 50+ downstream applications over night.

The role offers a long-term perspective in a strategically positioned team and IT environment which requires an experienced IT specialist looking for a challenge in the technical but also in the functional space.

Your responsibilities will include:

Analyze Business requirements and transform it to software specification in close collaboration with solution architect
Manage requirements provided by business product owner
Consulting of business engineers in technical areas and challenging of business requirements
Reviewing of documentation and specification provided by other team members.
Supporting test managers in creating test cases based on business and technical requirements
Actively improving processes, technical infrastructure, architecture and participating in Mainframe to DevOps initiative
Provide planning input regarding requirements engineering project activities to the PO and Scrum master
Support the team in on call support activities (5 x 24 picket)

As the successful applicant, you are a proactive QA with ability to think out-of-the-box and ready for new challenge. Excellent communication skills with ability to work under pressure with multiple internal and external Stakeholders and will possess the following skills and experience:

5+ years' experience on PL1 software development on mainframe architecture
Experience with DB2 data bases, Control-M and JCL or similar tools
Fluency in English (German a plus)

The following skills are desirable:

2+ years' experience in requirements engineering of IT solutions (or strong interest to gain more experience here)
Knowledge in EJB, JMS, web and RESTful services JEE 7, Spring 4 and JPA (Hibernate)
Relational database (Oracle) and SQL knowledge
Experience with financial products/investment reporting

Please note due to COVID interviews would be conducted remotely, however the role is based 100% in Switzerland. The team is currently split between WFH and office right now. Post COVID occasional home office will be permitted 2-3 days a week.
