VMware Engineer (SC ELIGIBLE/CLEARED) Inside IR-35 (Contract)
Location: Manchester, United Kingdom Country: UK Rate: £325 Daily (Inside IR-35)
 

Job Title: VMware Engineer

Location: Hybrid Working 2 days on site in Manchester

Job Type: Contract

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, deploy, and maintain VMware virtualization infrastructure.
  • Perform capacity planning, performance monitoring, and optimization of VMware environments.
  • Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to VMware infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with other teams to integrate VMware solutions with existing systems.
  • Automate routine tasks and processes using Scripting languages (eg, PowerShell, Python).
  • Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a VMware Engineer or similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge of VMware vSphere, vCenter, and ESXi.
  • Strong understanding of networking, storage, and server hardware concepts.
  • Experience with VMware NSX, vSAN, and other VMware technologies.
  • Proficiency in Scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Shell.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
