3rd Line IT Engineer (Permanent)

Location: Gloucester, Gloucestershire Country: UK Rate: 40K-50K + Benefits
 

3rd Line IT Engineer

Responsibilities:

  • Manage 3rd line support tickets and update customers daily.
  • Provide remote support through phone, email, and remote sessions.
  • Act as an escalation point for the 2nd line team and off-site support staff.
  • Own the support process end-to-end, serving as the primary customer liaison.
  • Collaborate with vendors like Microsoft, Citrix, and VMware to resolve issues.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation to provide after-hours support.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships, ensuring service excellence.
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to promote network operations services.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience with:
    • Windows Server (2016, 2019, 2022)
    • VMware ESX/ESXi and vCenter
    • SAN Technologies
    • Exchange On-Premise, DAG, and Hybrid
    • Microsoft 365, Azure, and Citrix products
    • Networking (TCP/IP, VLAN, routing, Firewalls)
    • Virtual server backup (eg, Veeam)
  • Preferred certifications: Microsoft MCSA, Citrix CCA, VMware VCP
