Network Engineer - initial 3 month contract - Outside IR35

Seeking a diligent and proficient Network Engineer to support and optimise our technology systems. The ideal candidate would possess a robust understanding of network infrastructure and the ability to manage and design complex network systems.

The client is an exciting growing businesses in the Technology space, based in Wigan.

Description

Key responsibilities include

• To support and enhance the existing network infrastructure.
• Provide technical support and knowledge in all network related aspects across the business.
• Assist with the delivery of any network related elements of projects across the business.
• Consult with third party partner companies at all levels to ensure appropriate, prompt, and cost-effective delivery of networking related services and solutions.
• Consult with colleagues in other areas to ensure network security and continuity.
• Assist with the delivery of network changes and adhere to the Change Management Process
• Document technical standards within network and support all changes with network diagrams and knowledge base updates.

Profile

The successful candidate will have the following experience;

• CCNA required.
• CCNP Qualification desirable, but not required
• Firewall knowledge.
• Good understanding of IPSec and multi-site VPN Configuration/Setup
• Strong understanding of IP schemes within complex environments
• Wi-Fi
• Uses strong experience of WAN/LAN environments to lead on all elements of network design.
• Experience with SD-WAN would be advantageous.
• Understanding of PCI-DSS would be welcome but not necessary.
