Principal .NET Software Developer - .Net/AWS/Microservices (Contract)

Location: Richmond upon Thames, Greater London, England Country: UK Rate: Up to £650 per day + Inside IR35
 

Principal .NET Software Developer, required by a global media company headquartered in London to provide technical assurance to 2 teams, Innovation and Data. The Innovation team are currently doing lots of work with Open AI/Chat GPT/Large Language Models and the data team is focused on delivering UI dashboards, metrics and KPI Analytics for external clients.

The key skills require for this role are .NET Core, AWS and Microservices Architecture, you will also need a good understanding of UI tools and event based systems. You will need extensive hands-on software development experience, with a blend of the following languages: C#/.NET Core, JavaScript/ReactJS/Typescript, CSS, No.JS, SQL/T-SQL.

In addition, you will need to be at Principal Software Engineer level, with at least 3 years' experience providing technical assurance to 2 or more agile/scrum project delivery teams building .NET web applications, customer facing data products and/or machine learning systems, hosted in a cloud environment (ideally AWS). This role is required to provide a technical overview, review system design specs and data flows. You will be working collaboratively with the teams to design high level architectures, critique lower-level designs or the technical approach, and guide teams towards a better or simpler approach. Experience in evaluating and participating in the analysis of 3rd party software and services is essential, as well as setting standards and best practices.

Desirable Experience:

Knowledge of Data Governance and compliance around Security and Privacy

This is a long term, 12 month contract, with high likelihood of extension, paying up to £650/day, requiring circa 1 day a week onsite in Richmond upon Thames.
