UI Product Designer (Freelance)
We're looking for a mid-senior freelance UI Product Designer to join a creative/digital agency on a short-term, high-impact project. This role is UI-led, with a strong focus on responsive web design, design systems, and interaction design. Working closely with product and development teams to ship high-quality digital experiences.
This is a full-time, hybrid contract with regular in-house collaboration in Central London.
Start: Monday 9th February
Contract length: 6 weeks (until Monday 16th March)
Rate: £400 per day (maximum)
IR35: Outside IR35 (no Sole Traders)
Location: Central London
Hybrid working: 3 days onsite per week (non-negotiable)
Work pattern: Full-time, 5 days per week
Level: Mid-Senior
You'll be working as a UI-focused Product Designer, responsible for designing polished, responsive digital interfaces that balance usability, brand, and interaction quality. This role suits someone who enjoys craft, detail, and system-led design, and who is comfortable collaborating closely with engineers.
Deliver UI-led digital product design across responsive web
Work confidently with design systems and component libraries
Create prototypes, micro-animations, and transition designs
Push and evolve existing design systems where appropriate
Apply strong UX principles to visually refined interfaces
Iterate designs based on user testing and feedback
Collaborate closely with developers to bring designs to life
Work daily in Figma
Ideally strong agency background experience
Strong portfolio demonstrating responsive web and system-based design
Experience designing and maintaining component libraries
Solid understanding of UX, UI, and brand consistency
