We are recruiting for an HP/Ekahau Wireless Engineer on Contract to work for a leading service provider.

Wi-Fi design

• Investigate associated floor plans and discuss store requirements with team.
• Ensure project tracking tool is up to date with latest status.
• Keep track of time spent on each store.
• Create/Ekahau Wi-Fi design based on Aruba's process.
• Generate predictive Wi-Fi design report, bill of materials, and per AP installer document.
• Share design documentation with customer.
• The above process is to be repeated for each assigned store.

Knowledgeable in Wi-Fi design

• Experience with Ekahau Survey AI Pro software is a requirement.
• Keen understanding of Wi-Fi design - RSSI, transmit power, channels, use of directional antennas, high density design etc.
• Ability to lead customer facing calls and provide answers and explanations regarding your proposed design.
• Aruba core team will assist/sign-off the Wi-Fi designs and documentation created by the assigned engineer.
• Aruba core team/project manager should assist with any atypical requests.
• Assigned engineers should keep track of time spent per store.

Wi-Fi Design Report Creation

• Run Ekahau Channel Planner.
• Download the latest version of the Wi-Fi Design Report Template from Ekahau Report Template folder.
• Include points discussed during meetings with customer, such as:
  • Ceiling height in store
  • Ceiling height in self service warehouse
  • Racking height
  • Lighting rail height
  • Convert report document from .DOCX to .PDF

Design Review Meeting

• Present and discuss the design.
• Confirm AP/Antenna bracket requirements.
• Make any changes to the design if necessary.

Report Documentation

• Create BoM using the ekahau report template & XLSX template document.
• Run Per AP Installer Report Template.
• Insert images using Python script.
