*Technical/Solution Architect for multiple Public Sector client, both in and outside IR35 - London - Up to £650pd

We are looking for technical architects who have a strong technical background and have a solid track record in providing solution design advice to clients.

We have multiple roles for Technical/Solution Architects who will provide technical solution advice to large public sector clients. The role involves working closely with various projects, delivering technical designs for new applications, or solving issues with existing development work. We are often asked to manage existing suppliers or provide technical assurance. The programmes are typically managed using agile techniques, and spans multiple projects.

The ideal architect will have worked on large scale agile programmes in the public sector and will have supported teams that are building bespoke software. Moreover, we are looking for architects who have worked with or delivered component based architectures using open source technologies. The architect will have to guide the overall programme architecture, producing design patterns and principles. In addition to helping the programme design bespoke components and applications, the architects may need to identify opportunities for the use of commercial or open source products and so experience of product assessment and selection would be valuable.

About you
Our ideal candidate is conscientious, client-focused and able to work to tight deadlines, sometimes at short notice. You are reliable, self-motivated and able to work without close supervision. You are technically proficient with impressive analytic and communication skills; you are comfortable with talking to clients and enjoy the variety of working on different projects. You can code if necessary, and produce high quality written outputs. You are likely to be an experienced architect, with a strong track record of application delivery and possibly with a management consultancy or solution integrator background. Any experience of enterprise-level applications and their integration with other systems would be highly desirable.

• Scientific or technical degree or relevant professional qualification
• A strong record of application development
• Strong API design skills
• Good understanding of database design and programming
• Understanding of micro service based architectures
• Understanding of modern container technologies
• Understanding of continuous integration and deployment
• Understanding of modern delivery pipelines
• Design for a cloud platform - ideally Azure but will consider AWS
• Proven history of solution architecture delivery
• Experience of Agile development methodologies.
• Experience of Domain Driven Design would be beneficial
• Experience of working to GDS standards and guidance would be beneficial
• SC clearance highly beneficial
