I am currently working with a vital central government department who are looking to bring in an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer who'll lead a squad responsible for the design and implementation of one or more of the products which make up their platform. You'll be contributing to their ways of working and advocating solutions that are resilient, secure, scalable, and enable self-service. Their platform is built using AWS Landing Zone Accelerator.

Main responsibilities of the role include:

• Working with the senior leadership team to define, evolve and improve our product roadmaps.
• Contributing to the team's continuous improvement and ways of working.
• Working with Security, Architecture, and other stakeholders to design and build end-to-end platform capability.
• Working as part of the platform team to build and elaborate the backlog and sprints.
• Scoping and participating in spikes and defining best practice.
• Leading the build effort, including runbooks, automation, observability, and self-service.
• Guiding and mentoring other members of the squad.

Ideal skills & experience required:

• Designing solutions using AWS products and services.
• Knowledge of the Well-Architected framework.
• AWS Landing Zone Accelerator.
• Custom Amazon Machine Images.
• CloudFormation, Terraform and AWS Service Catalogue.
• GitHub Actions and Typescript.

Active SC clearance is highly desired.
