Job Title - Platform Engineer (SC Cleared)

Contract - Inside IR35

Hybrid - Travel required during initial knowledge transfer

Security Clearance - Must be holding active Security Clearance

We are supporting a large, mission-critical public-sector system and are building a platform engineering team to maintain and evolve a complex Legacy technology environment.

This role suits experienced engineers who are comfortable owning systems, providing L3 support, and mentoring others, rather than greenfield delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and maintain Legacy applications and infrastructure (L3 support)
  • Deliver changes within a complex Legacy estate
  • Own systems and services as a technical subject matter expert
  • Build and support CI/CD pipelines
  • Maintain documentation and undertake peer reviews
  • Mentor junior engineers and support team delivery
  • Stakeholder management, technical decision making, and line management.

  • Legacy systems support and modernisation
  • CI/CD pipelines and automation
  • Refactoring and automated testing
  • ETL and data integration
  • Containerisation and virtualisation
