Senior Java Engineer

Location: London (1-2 days a week in the office, mandatory on Thursdays)

Experience: Minimum 8-10 years

Key Responsibilities

• Software development and maintenance of Cortex Secondary Trader applications
• Participate in an agile based software development life cycle including analysis, documentation, development, testing, code reviews.
• Collaborate with the production support team for releases and troubleshooting of the components.
• Provide third-line support for the Cortex Secondary platform

Skills and Experience

• At least four years software development experience or equivalent.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, inside and outside the team.
• Solid experience with Server Side Java development.
• Solid experience with web-based applications and restful APIs.
• Familiarity with relational databases and SQL knowledge.
• An ability to design performant software and an understanding of application performance profiling.
• The platform is principally Linux with some Windows, MQ, SQL Server
• Navigating the technical environments of large organizations.
