Senior Cloud Engineer - Pharma/Life Sciences - Hybrid - 3 Days onsite - Central London

We are working with a leading pharmaceutical organisation undergoing significant digital and data transformation across scientific and R&D environments. They are seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to help establish and scale the foundations for high-value, data-driven products.

You will work in a fast-paced, agile setting, partnering closely with scientists, engineers, and data specialists to deliver robust, scalable cloud and data platforms supporting critical business and research use cases.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive optimisation, testing, and tooling to deliver stable, production-grade platforms

• Champion CI/CD best practices to improve data quality, reliability, and deployment maturity

• Build and support scalable batch and streaming data processing systems

• Design and maintain cloud infrastructure for large-scale datasets (terabytes+) using Infrastructure as Code

• Collaborate with laboratory teams, data scientists, software engineers, and domain architects

• Support BI and data consumers through dashboards and reporting solutions

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong experience with AWS and/or Azure (storage, ingestion, transformation, serverless)

• Solid Python development skills

• Good working knowledge of SQL and database technologies

• Experience with containerisation (Docker, Singularity, or similar)

• Understanding of data modelling and large-scale data storage patterns

• Exposure to Agile, DevOps, and DataOps environments
