Technical Author (Contract) - £300 - £350 Outside IR35

We're recruiting for an experienced Technical Author to support one of our clients on a short-term contract. This role is Outside IR35 and can be delivered fully remotely from anywhere in the UK.

The successful contractor will be responsible for producing clear, high-quality technical documentation, with a strong focus on system architecture and code-level documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Documenting existing system architecture and technical designs
• Producing clear, well-structured documentation for codebases and technical workflows
• Working closely with engineers and technical stakeholders to extract and clarify information
• Creating documentation that is easy to understand and maintain

Required Experience:

• Proven experience as a Technical Author/Technical Writer
• Strong understanding of software architecture and code (hands-on technical background preferred)
• Ability to work independently and quickly get up to speed with complex systems
• Excellent written communication skills

Contract Details:

• Outside IR35
• 3-4 months initially
• Fully remote (UK-based candidates only)
