Solution Architect6 month contract | likely to extend through 2027 | £500 - £600 per day | Outside IR35Fully Remote We are looking for a contract Solution Architect with experience of onboarding and integrating new solutions into existing business systems for our plc client. We are seeking a Solution Architect who combines good stakeholder management and communication skills, high-level design experience and experience in selecting, onboarding and integrating new software solutions.
The role:The Solution Architect will work closely with Project Managers, Business Analysts, IT teams, and business stakeholders, bridging the gap between business needs and technical delivery
Key Responsibilities- Define and document end-to-end solution architectures, producing High-Level Designs for governance approval.
- Lead technology option assessments, integration approaches, and data architecture design.
- Facilitate vendor selection, licensing discussions, and service transition.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to clarify requirements and align solutions to business needs.
- Provide architectural oversight during pilots, rollout, and transition into BAU
.
Skills & Experience Required- Proven experience as a Solution Architect, with expertise in onboarding applications into existing business environments.
- Strong background in application, data, and integration architecture.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Able to act as the glue between PM, BA other IT Teams (security, infrastructure)
- Ability to work in environments with low delivery maturity, joining the dots across teams to drive coherent outcomes.
- Strong analytical skills with ability to shape business requirements into practical solutions.
- Broad knowledge across IT domains (infrastructure, data, security, service transition).
- Architecture certification (TOGAF, Archimate) desirable.
