Loans Support Analyst - Contract - Investment Banking - London

*inside IR35 - umbrella*

A leading global financial institution is seeking a Loans Support Analyst to join its Finance & Product Control function on a contract basis. This role focuses on loan trade life cycle accuracy, systems reconciliation, and supporting both Front Office and finance teams within a fast-paced investment banking environment.

Key Responsibilities

Loan Systems Reconciliation

  • Manage daily reconciliations between WSO (Wall Street Office) and Murex for loan trades and positions.
  • Proactively follow up on outstanding issues and escalate aged breaks where required.
  • Ensure life cycle servicing events (eg, paydowns) are accurately captured in WSO.
  • Review and validate new trades, ensuring correct booking and downstream processing.

Front-to-Back Coordination

  • Liaise with Front Office, Trade Support, Operations, and WSO teams to address restructures, amendments, and booking issues.
  • Perform independent calculations of delayed compensation for daily P&L accruals.
  • Review settlement and pricing memos, highlighting discrepancies.

Candidate Profile:

Essential Experience & Skills

  • Previous experience working in a professional office environment.
  • Hands-on experience with WSO is essential, knowledge of Murex highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of secondary loan market products.
  • Excellent analytical skills and high attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables).
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to coordinate across multiple teams
