Role: Technical Project Manager

Duration: 12 months Contract

Rate: GBP 400 - 500+ p/d Inside IR35 (Negotiable)

About Company: It's an American communications company based in Carlsbad, California, with additional operations across the United States and worldwide. They are provider of high-speed satellite broadband services and secure networking systems covering military and commercial markets.

Role Purpose

Candidate will work with a variety of engineering teams (system architects, software, special test equipment, integration, and test), managing schedule and performance risk, meeting commitments and anticipating and circumventing problems. Candidate shall be responsible for communicating with Account Managers and Product Owners to understand and document requirements for airline onboarding. The Candidate shall lead, direct, and motivate cross-discipline teams across multiple organizations and geographic sites towards the objective of successful airline onboarding.

Candidate shall perform project management tasks required to execute airline onboarding projects. Software & Platforms (S&P) Program Management office will provide guidance and direction on these required tasks.

Skillset and Capabilities

Candidate shall perform the following:

• Document project scope
• Manage project scope change using a change control process
• Develop and maintain project plans/schedules
• Develop and maintain risk and opportunity plans
• Align development, product, and account teams towards project scope and milestones
• Monitor, manage and report project level milestones, risks, issues, and decisions
• Solve problems and drive resolutions to closure
• Manage program communications internally to teams/stakeholders/leadership and externally to customer
• Interface with other teams to ensure tasking performed by those teams are completed in time to support airline onboarding activities
• Education in engineering and them since transitioned into a program or project management role
