API QA Automation Consultant (API, Cypres, Play-wright Cucumber) - London - 11 months+/RATE: £306.25 per day inside IR35

One of our Blue Chip Clients is urgently looking for an API QA Automation Consultant (API, Cypres, Play-wright Cucumber).

For this role you will need to be onsite in London 4 days per week.

Role Description:

Strong expertise in API automation and about 3-4 years of experience using Cypres/mainly Play-wright Cucumber Framework for API & UI automation and Bruno for manual API testing. The ideal candidate will lead automation efforts, ensure high-quality delivery, and collaborate with cross-functional teams, Create Test Strategy & Test Plan. This role also involves contributing to the Quality Guild for end-to-end (E2E) testing best practices.

Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks using Play-wright Cucumber (TypeScript/JavaScript).
Automate API's and integrate with GitHub Actions.
Define and implement E2E testing strategies & Test plan for project.
Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, and product teams to ensure test coverage and quality standards.
Mentor team members and drive automation excellence within the Quality Guild.

Required Skills:
Strong hands-on experience with Play-wright Cucumber (TypeScript/JavaScript).
Proficiency in API testing tools (Bruno or similar).
Solid understanding of test automation frameworks, CI/CD, and best practices.
Experience in E2E testing and quality governance.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
