Principal Android Engineer | €450 - €500 | 12 Months | Hybrid Remote | Dublin

We're currently recruiting for an experienced Principal Android Engineer for a 12-month contract with one of our key clients. This role is paying Euros450 - Euros500 per day and requires once a week travel to Dublin.

The ideal candidate will bring principal level technical authority, owning cross team architecture, driving long term platform strategy, and shaping Android engineering standards, preferably from a background of highly regulated industries.

Key Requirements:

• Own technical direction and architecture across multiple Android teams and platforms
• Bring deep expertise across Kotlin, Jetpack Compose and Android SDK
• Familiarity with AWS Mobile Services (API Gateway, AppSync, Lambda)
• Define strict architectural guardrails ensuring scalable, resilient, secure Android solutions
• Drive long term platform strategy with hands on, deeply technical expertise
• Govern APIs, contracts, and shared libraries used across squads
• Make confident trade off decisions under ambiguity while influencing senior stakeholders
• Communicate complex technical choices clearly to technical and non technical audiences
• Operate autonomously, thinking in systems rather than tasks or sprints
• Act as final technical authority in high scale or mission critical environments
