We are seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to provide the foundational software stack for Design Verification of PCBAs and ECUs across various next-generation vehicle platforms (Autonomy, Infotainment, Vehicle Controls). You will act as the technical lead in board bring-up and debugging complex interactions across the hardware/software stack, writing device drivers and creating validation test cases.

• Design, develop, and deploy Embedded software on Linux/Android and/or RTOS for board bring-up, verification, and debugging of automotive electronics.
• Write device drivers for PCBA components and create validation test cases in Python/C.
• Optimize Android system performance, boot time, memory, and stability.
• Ability to debug in Real Time across the software and hardware stack to understand the real issue and provide a solution.
• Work with hardware and software architects to collaborate on next-gen platform architecture.
• Collaborate across multiple disciplines to deliver quality code, debug complex problems, and prioritize tasks with high urgency.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, a relevant technical field or equivalent practical experience.
• Proficiency in C/C+ and experience with Scripting languages (Python, shell).
• Expertise using debugging tools like Lauterbach, Oscilloscope, JTAG, and Flashing Tools.

• 5+ years of experience in Embedded systems development.
• Understanding of interface protocol stacks (SPI, I2C, Ethernet, PCIe) and board bring-up processes.
• Understanding of RTOS fundamentals, Board Support Packages (BSPs), and Kernel configuration.
• Knowledge of OS internals (process scheduler, memory management, concurrency, synchronization).
• Knowledge of hypervisor and virtualization in the automotive industry.
• Experience with ARM cores.

Salary Range for California Based Applicants: 146,900 - 183,600 USD (This range is based on similar Mid to Senior level technical roles; actual compensation would be determined based on experience, location and other factors determined by law).

Salary Range for British Columbia Canada Based Applicants: 108,200 - 135,300 CAD (Actual compensation would be determined based on experience, location and other factors determined by law).

Full-time employee coverage is effective on the first day of employment. Part-time employee coverage is effective the first of the month following 90 days of employment.

Total compensation packages for this position include base salary, eligibility for an annual performance bonus, and eligibility for equity.
