? Industry: Advanced Air Mobility/Aerospace (eVTOL)
This is a compelling opportunity for an experienced Senior Systems Engineer to play a critical role in the development of next-generation electric aircraft. The company is a leader in light eVTOL technology, with over a decade of platform development and an upcoming production-ready aircraft designed for consumer, public service, and defense applications.
You will work at the system level on complex, safety-critical products, collaborating across engineering, test, and compliance teams to drive robust architecture, reliability, and successful product launch.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own system-level development for cross-functional aircraft and prototype programs
- Define, manage, and evolve system requirements and traceability across the lifecycle
- Allocate requirements to subsystems and guide engineering execution
- Evaluate system performance thresholds, reliability, and design trade-offs
- Lead and continuously improve FMEA processes and reliability assessments
- Support modeling, simulation, and system performance analysis
- Collaborate on compliance analysis, interface definitions, and V&V planning
- Partner with test teams to ensure comprehensive verification and validation coverage
- Perform reliability, failure, and qualification analysis for product launch
- Provide regular program updates, including requirements burndown and reliability status
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in systems engineering within complex product environments
- Strong background in requirements development, FMEA, compliance, and V&V
- Experience creating system test plans and interpreting technical specifications
- Expertise with requirements management tools (eg, JAMA, DOORS, Polarion)
- Strong analytical, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
Bonus Experience:
- Reliability analysis tools (Reliance preferred)
- Familiarity with FAA PT103/PT23 or MIL-STD-810
- Experience taking products from concept to production
- Exposure to GNC, MBSE, and modeling & simulation
- Knowledge of Simulink, Ansys, SolidWorks, MATLAB, or C/C+
