This is a compelling opportunity for an experienced Senior Systems Engineer to play a critical role in the development of next-generation electric aircraft. The company is a leader in light eVTOL technology, with over a decade of platform development and an upcoming production-ready aircraft designed for consumer, public service, and defense applications.

You will work at the system level on complex, safety-critical products, collaborating across engineering, test, and compliance teams to drive robust architecture, reliability, and successful product launch.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own system-level development for cross-functional aircraft and prototype programs
  • Define, manage, and evolve system requirements and traceability across the lifecycle
  • Allocate requirements to subsystems and guide engineering execution
  • Evaluate system performance thresholds, reliability, and design trade-offs
  • Lead and continuously improve FMEA processes and reliability assessments
  • Support modeling, simulation, and system performance analysis
  • Collaborate on compliance analysis, interface definitions, and V&V planning
  • Partner with test teams to ensure comprehensive verification and validation coverage
  • Perform reliability, failure, and qualification analysis for product launch
  • Provide regular program updates, including requirements burndown and reliability status

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in systems engineering within complex product environments
  • Strong background in requirements development, FMEA, compliance, and V&V
  • Experience creating system test plans and interpreting technical specifications
  • Expertise with requirements management tools (eg, JAMA, DOORS, Polarion)
  • Strong analytical, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills

Bonus Experience:

  • Reliability analysis tools (Reliance preferred)
  • Familiarity with FAA PT103/PT23 or MIL-STD-810
  • Experience taking products from concept to production
  • Exposure to GNC, MBSE, and modeling & simulation
  • Knowledge of Simulink, Ansys, SolidWorks, MATLAB, or C/C+
