Qcells is seeking a Senior Android Engineer to join our Mobile Residential Applications team. You will play a key role in building the next-generation mobile experience for solar homeowners and installers. This includes developing native Android features for on-site solar system commissioning, Real Time telemetry, and homeowner engagement. You'll collaborate with other mobile engineers, Back End teams, product managers, designers, and hardware engineers to deliver a seamless, scalable, and intuitive mobile experience.

Responsibilities
  • Build and launch intuitive and reliable mobile apps for Qcells' core partners and customers
  • Learn the domain concepts in the solar software ecosystem to influence important design decisions and to contribute to make tomorrow greener!
  • Lead architecture design discussions, drive decisions,
  • Promote and develop best practices to keep the quality and performance bar high
  • Collaborate with like-minded engineers across time zones and cultures
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • 8+ years of software development experience, with 5+ years in native Android development using modern programming languages such as Kotlin.
  • Deep understanding of mobile architecture, offline strategy, design systems, and data visualization.
  • Strong leadership in driving cross-team communications and collaboration.
  • Experience in working across remote teams.
  • The position requires up to 10% travel.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Solar Industry experience (Renewable).
  • Direct experience in connected devices or field services.

Salary Information

The salary range is required by the California Pay Transparency Act and may differ depending on the location of those candidates hired nationwide. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to, skill set, education, licenses and certifications, essential job duties and requirements, and the necessary experience relative to the job's minimum qualifications.
