The Comcast Network and CONNECTivity (CONNECT) organization is a highly agile, fast-paced, dedicated group at the forefront of change focused on innovating, building, and operating the best in class, most reliable access network for our customers.Job DescriptionOverview of the TeamThe End to End vCMTS (Virtual CMTS) Test Team performs a variety of critical functions in the process of releasing component software to the Comcast production environments providing cable services to millions of customers. The team works closely with development during system integration testing of innovative features and devices.

They conduct manual testing on new features to map out regression and automated test requirements which are then implemented and run daily/weekly. There are multiple vCMTS environments, including hundreds of devices, managed and used by the team. While testing new capabilities, one of the top priorities is the reproduction of production issues and root cause analysis.

The team works in a collaborative manner within a very dynamic environment with opportunities to take on the challenges that interest you.Core ResponsibilitiesResponsible for design, implementation and maintenance of systems and automation utilized performing End-to-End testing of the vCMTS platform and associated systems. Participates with and supports the engineering and QA teams in the End-to-End testing of the vCMTS releases.

Work with vCMTS teams to understand product and project requirements to design and implement automation capabilities to support testing and the vCMTS E2E lab.Monitor, maintain and enhance existing automation frameworks and tests to support testing of HFC, DAA and PON vCMTS system components.Work with E2E team and business partners to refine test methods and production and reporting of debug information collected during the test.

Design and develop test and lab automation frameworks and systems.Work with E2E engineers to improve existing automation frameworks and tests.Support E2E team in troubleshooting issue identified via manual and automation testing.

Prioritize, assign and monitor automation stories and tasks,Create insights for managers to track quality and operational metrics.QualificationsExperience with technologies used to develop and support automated testing including: JAVA, Spring Framework, Tomcat, Python, Jenkins, Concourse, GIT, Vault, Jira, TCL, Ixia, Rest, Postman, Websec, SAT.Experience with DOCSIS and PON in a broadband environment.
