This is a unique opportunity for a senior level individual to participate in helping our current clients and building new relationships through business development, working with Business Development Director.Join our team of globally connected specialists to help solve complex transport challenges and experience groundbreaking projects from idea to delivery, and beyond.Working with our transportation team, this position offers great variety of projects, and will see you involved in exciting and challenging work such as:Providing technical guidance, project delivery oversight and accountability on highway, roadway, and other engineering project projectsDeveloping and managing project scopes, schedules, budgets, and quality plansLeading design projects, managing sub consultants, and coaching/mentoring junior staffSupporting business development on behalf of GHDWhen required participating in project interviews with potential/existing clientsLeading a cohesive team to achieve project objectivesActively engaging in community/professional organizationsWhat you will bring to the team:Strong foundation across multiple software design platforms - experience with both AutoCAD Civil 3D and MicrostationExperience and familiarity with Caltrans and knowledge of overall project delivery process (PID, PA&ED, R/W, PS&E, CON)Ability to expand and grow relationships/business in transportation and other sectors within the US West RegionAbility to mentor staff in a multi-disciplinary team environment and share skills and knowledge with staff and peersAbility to support project/client proposals and participate in interviewsDemonstrated professional judgement and commercial acumen, including identifying, assessing, evaluating and solving problemsRobust written and verbal skills, with the ability to communicate complex issues conciselyDemonstrated ability to direct and delegate work assignments to othersDemonstrated portfolio of municipal infrastructure, transportation, drainage, & site development projectsA self-starter with the ability to multi-task and prioritize deadlines in a fast-paced environmentQualificationsBachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
Registered Civil Engineer in the State of California.20+ years of experience with solid technical knowledge and skills across the transportation & municipal engineering, including a strong background in planning & design; construction experience a plus.In the problem solving business, it helps to be restlessly curious to deliver community change.
