Serves as a solutions expert, at the business unit level developing the most advanced end-to-end solution architecture for highly complex and significant initiatives in partnership with key business and IT stakeholders. Exposes current state architecture and identifies options for future state architecture.

Works closely with business and IT stakeholders creating solutions that balance competing interests and concerns. Develops plans for and facilitates the migration from current to selected future state by providing technical leadership to multiple initiatives. Mentors those in less senior positions.

Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information Systems, business and/or equivalent formal training or work experience. Five (5) years work experience in information technology or engineering environment. A related advanced degree may offset the related experience requirement.

Job Information Details:The Sr. Solutions Architect works closely with business and technical stakeholders at all levels of the FedEx Enterprise to translate FedEx's business strategy and initiatives into actionable strategic roadmaps.Understand the business need, leverage the industry and technology trends, and develop the strategic business vision to recommend action plans across FedEx Enterprise and to FedEx Leadership.

Develop an integrated view of the Express portfolio to enable better prioritization and investment decisions.Collaborate with Stakeholders and Architects to identify and define enterprise capabilities, build out a long-term roadmap, and create SAFe artifacts, IRIS & SPARX design documents for the consumption of the teams to execute the initiatives with a value delivery approach.Combine business strategy with technical and application portfolio knowledge to deconstruct complex concepts into smaller, simplified components and capabilities.

Provide mentoring for the development of those in less senior positions. Skills/Knowledge/Experience Considered a Plus:Experience in Java/C#/.NET, Webservices, API management with API-First philosophy, Microservices, and Cloud Native DevelopmentExperience in Cloud environments and platforms like Pivotal Cloud Foundry, Azure, Google Cloud etcExperience working with business and IT architects in requirements analysis and modeling tools (eg, IRIS Business Architect, SPARX, ER Studio, or other modeling tools)Strong understanding of business capability management strategies and solutions with hands-on experience architecting, designing, implementing, and delivering solutionsExperience in decomposing the demands in manageable, releasable, testable, and deployable incrementsMajor project leadership experience developing enterprise-level projects and productsKnowledge of Business Architecture Guild (BIZBOK) and The Open Architecture Framework (TOGAF) or other architectural frameworksExcellent communication skills, both written and oral.

Proven executive presentation skillsDemonstrated collaboration skills and ability to work in a dynamic team environment and interact with resources from technical and business organizationsScaled Agile Framework (SAFe) experience and architecture practice experienceKnowledge of the Transportation and Logistics industry domain, business concepts and IT needs Work Location(s)/Domicile: Desired location for this position would be Collierville, TN, Pittsburgh, PA, Colorado Springs, CO, Orlando, FL, Plano, TX however, this position may be located anywhere within the United States.Relocation:Relocation assistance may be available based upon business needs.Additional InformationSalary Range Estimate: Monthly Salary: $9,854.00 - $17,546.00.
