The Role

We're seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join a lean, fast-moving team. This is a full-stack role with Back End emphasis-ideal for someone who has shipped end-to-end features, cares deeply about product quality, and is comfortable building across application code, infrastructure, and UX.

As the platform evolves, AI will play a foundational role. You'll help define how LLMs and automation improve hospital workflows, while using modern AI coding tools like Cursor, Copilot, and ChatGPT to accelerate development and raise product quality.

We're looking for an engineer who is not only comfortable with AI-in-the-loop, but curious about how it transforms user experience in high-trust environments.

What You'll Do

• Build and ship impactful end-to-end features across React, TypeScript, Postgres, and AWS Lambda
• Design and implement robust, extensible systems built for the realities of clinical environments
• Shape how AI is applied in healthcare-from accelerating dev workflows to improving frontline operations
• Collaborate with product & clinical stakeholders to balance safety, usability, and automation
• Lead projects from architecture and goal-setting through launch and iteration
• Influence engineering culture-refine processes, raise quality bars, and improve release velocity.

Required Experience Seniority

? 4 - 8 years in full-stack software engineering

? Prior tech lead or management responsibilities

Work Background

? Early-stage startup experience (pre-Series C)

? Founding engineer experience (nice to have)

Technical Skills

? Proficiency in TypeScript

? Experience with AI development tools (Cursor, ChatGPT, Copilot)

Soft Skills
