ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Senior Android Engineer, you will drive the development of high-quality, native Android experiences, shaping how features are designed, implemented, and optimized across the app. You'll collaborate closely with backend, iOS, and product teams to deliver seamless functionality while modernizing Legacy code and implementing an internal design system. This role offers the chance to influence architecture, elevate code quality, and grow as a technical leader in a fast-paced, high-ownership environment.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
  • Develop and maintain high-quality native Android applications using Kotlin;
  • Collaborate with cross-functional vertical teams (Backend, iOS, Product) to define, design, and ship new features;
  • Implement UI components for an internal design system, ensuring pixel-perfect execution;
  • Refactor Legacy code to align with modern Android architecture guidelines (MVVM/MVI);
  • Ensure application performance, quality, and responsiveness;
  • Participate in code reviews to maintain high coding standards.
MUST HAVES
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience;
  • 5+ years of professional experience in Android development;
  • Expert proficiency in Kotlin and the Android SDK;
  • Strong experience with Jetpack Compose and modern UI toolkits;
  • Experience consuming RESTful APIs and/or gRPC services;
  • Deep understanding of Android architecture components (ViewModel, LiveData, Flow);
  • Familiarity with dependency injection frameworks (Dagger/Hilt);
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment;
  • Upper-intermediate English level.
NICE TO HAVES
  • Experience contributing to or building Design Systems;
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for mobile (Bitrise, CircleCI, or similar);
  • Experience interacting with GraphQL APIs.
