Job Description Summary

At PayPal, real-time, intelligent decision-making protects our customers and powers global commerce. Our AI Decisioning Platform drives critical decisions across fraud, credit risk, compliance, and more, processing massive volumes of data in milliseconds to keep our ecosystem safe and trustworthy. We seek a Product Manager to lead the strategy, execution, and evolution of PayPal's core decisioning stack-focusing on the AI/ML modelling platform-and partner with engineering and domain stakeholders to increase decision speed, improve performance, and enable platform-wide innovation.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Use data to build insights on product or platform requirements consistent with the shared vision for the product.
  • Gather insights from the customer experience and needs to input into product requirements.
  • Analyze research, market analysis and usability studies to support data-driven decision making.
  • Monitor product profitability measures, including budget.
  • Lead sprint planning, daily standups and retrospectives to drive execution; interface with product and technology leadership as needed.
  • Partner with content developers, data scientists, product designers and user experience researchers to identify new opportunities.
Expected Qualifications
  • 3+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree OR any equivalent combination of education and experience.
What You'll Own - Platform Vision and Capabilities
  • Define and drive the next generation AI modelling platform required to support PayPal's growing needs.
  • Own the investment and roadmap for the platform.
  • Build the platform with product development and architecture.
  • Maintain and support the platform, ensuring definition and ongoing monitoring of platform KPIs.
  • Be in users' shoes, gain a deep understanding of customer experiences and funnel the requirements to build scalable infrastructure.
  • Create use cases and product requirement documents to articulate desired service features and functionality to the user experience and technology teams.
Platform Integration
  • Understand integration needs (internal systems and external); assimilate and synthesize stakeholder needs into common platform capabilities.
  • Assess buy vs. build and work with third parties to integrate platform capabilities on a case-by-case basis.
Product Leadership
  • Lead by influence with strong execution skills and focus.
  • Lead project teams of engineers and designers to deliver platform requirements and meet business needs.
  • Collaborate across business and technical areas to manage all aspects of the platform.
  • Present business cases, product roadmaps, and strategies to stakeholders and executives.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 6+ years of technical Product Management.2+ years working on Machine Learning (AI/ML), Machine Learning Operations (MLOps), and/or AI infrastructure.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field, such as Computer Science.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in building core, risk or compliance platforms.
  • Skills: analytical, problem-solving, strategic planning, leadership, project management, communication with diverse stakeholders.
Actual Compensation

Compensation is based on work location, skills and experience. The total compensation may include an annual performance bonus, equity, and medical, dental, vision, and other benefits. The U.S. national annual pay range for this role is $123,500 to $212,850.
