We are looking for a .NET Developer to support our client by developing, maintaining, and optimizing the central infrastructure, application instances, and databases for a budgeting system. This position will be a full-time contract and will require hybrid/on-site work in Little Rock for the first month.
What You'll Do
Maintain and develop packages to extract data elements into structured data layouts
Maintain and enhance complex applications supported by Applications Development, specifically the Budget System
Assist state employees with .NET solutions and mentor them on best practices
Perform installation, maintenance, and optimization of SQL Server (2008 R2, 2012, 2016)
Work with MSDTC configuration, TDE encryption, and SQL optimization
Use SSIS or integration services to import/export data between internal systems
Develop Windows Services and Web Services
Design and test disaster recovery plans
Write and review VB.NET and C#/ASP.NET/.NET code
Create detailed technical infrastructure diagrams and specifications
Support the StimulSoft reporting environment and/or Active Reports
Work with TSM, LiteSpeed, VMware, FTP, and related toolsets
Apply knowledge of state and federal laws, procurement, budget, HR, payroll processes, and administrative procedures related to the Budget System
Provide problem resolution, analysis, and other support as assigned by the Applications Development Manager
Support development for the .NET-based Statewide Budget Solution, including the Annual Operational Plan, Biennial Plan, and Budget Manual
What You'll Need
Required:
Minimum 6-8 years of experience in:
Senior-level .NET development and architecture
Designing & implementing financial and budget applications in .NET
ASP.NET, C#, .NET, VB.NET
Microsoft SQL Server installation, maintenance, and optimization
SSIS/integration services
Disaster recovery design & testing
Designing and maintaining TDE encryption
Developing Windows Services
Developing Web Services
Designing detailed technical infrastructure diagrams and documentation
TSM, LiteSpeed, VMware, FTP
Active Reports and/or StimulSoft Reports
MSTDC configuration and implementation
Strong oral and written communication skills
Ability to mentor state staff on .NET best practices
Financial institution experience (6 years)
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
Preferred:
Working knowledge of state and federal laws, procurement, budget, HR, and payroll processes
Experience supporting government budget systems

$82 - $87 per hourThe pay range for this position is listed above. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including location, experience, and education. Benefit packages include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as 401k retirement account access. Employees in this role may also be entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
