Your Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Senior Associate with EY-Parthenon's Corporate Finance Business Valuation practice, you'll spend your day to day working on commercial issues, working with management on parts of the acquisition process and regularly undertaking valuations for strategic priorities, with a focus on Intangible Assets.
Skills And Attributes For- Commercial - regularly advise businesses on valuations in acquisitions or divestitures and provide fairness opinions on transactions and restructurings.
- Regulatory and Accounting - assess how the value of acquired intangible and financial assets will impact accounting requirements.
- Taxation - undertake valuations for fiscal purposes in the US market and advise on all aspects of US tax valuation issues.
- Intangible Assets - specialize in valuing trademarks, brand names, customer relationships, banking licenses, patents, technology and know-how.
- A bachelor's degree in finance, economics, accounting or business and at least 2 years of related business valuation work experience; or a graduate degree and approximately 18 months of related work experience.
- Previous Business Valuation experience.
- Financial modeling skills including experience building models from scratch.
- Demonstrated record of solving complex problems and completing challenging projects.
- Residency in a commutable distance to your office location.
- Willingness to travel and work beyond standard hours when necessary.
- Previous valuation experience in a professional services or Big 4 firm.
- Financial modeling experience.
- Progress toward a CFA or completion of one designation if you hold an ASA/AM.
- Knowledge of how to leverage firm-approved AI tools in a business setting, including Microsoft Copilot.
