We are working with an organization in the area looking to hire an IT Director. Experience working directly at a school is required. This is with a wonderful organization with a fantastic culture. This position is in office five days a week, and that is non-negotiable.
Some of the responsibilities include:
- Develop and execute a long-term technology strategy
- Lead and oversee the daily operations of the IT department, including networks, backup systems, cybersecurity, servers, databases, equipment, phone systems, and security systems.
- Research, evaluate, and recommend new and emerging technologies to enhance classroom learning, administrative efficiency, and overall infrastructure.
- Partner with faculty, department chairs, and division heads to integrate developmentally appropriate technology into teaching and learning.
- Oversee vendor relationships, procurement, and implementation of technology solutions.
- Ensure the security, reliability, and efficiency of all network infrastructure.
- Collaborate with academic leadership to support innovation in teaching and learning across campuses.
- Manage and track all IT inventory.
- Provide timely maintenance and user support for all technology resources.
- Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate IT staff, while setting strategic direction for the team.
- Develop and manage the IT department budget.
- Stay current with trends in educational technology, infrastructure, and IT management.
- Participate actively in professional organizations and attend relevant conferences.
Requirements
- Experience in the education industry
- Bachelors Degree
- 8+ years of experience with information technology
- Supervisory experience
