Business Analyst/Junior Product Owner - Asset Management/OMS
Permanent | Hybrid (Central London) | Salary £60,000-£75,000 + bonus + benefits
A product-led investment technology business is hiring a Business Analyst/Junior Product Owner to support the delivery and enhancement of its Order Management System (OMS) platform, used within the asset and wealth management sector.
This role is ideal for candidates with 2+ years' experience in asset management or investment technology vendors, particularly those who have worked in trade support, OMS/trading systems, or product-aligned Business Analyst roles, and who are looking to develop further within a product-focused environment.
You will work closely with Product Managers, Engineers and business stakeholders, supporting delivery across investment, trading and order-related workflows.
Must Have Experience
Applicants must clearly demonstrate at least one of the following on their CV:

Hands-on experience working within an asset or investment management environment, or
for a buy-side technology vendor supporting asset managers

Direct exposure to trading, trade support, or investment platforms, such as:
order life cycle support, execution workflows, trade booking, post-trade processing, or Front Office reporting

Business Analyst or Junior Product Owner experience aligned to product delivery, not enterprise transformation
-
Strong understanding of asset management processes, including front-to-back workflows from portfolio decisioning through to execution and operation

Comfortable working in an agile, delivery-focused environment
Nice to Have Experience

Exposure to Order Management Systems (OMS) or trading/execution workflows

Experience working with vendors such as Bloomberg, SimCorp, Charles River, MarketAxess, Tradeweb, SS&C, Enfusion, FNZ, or similar

Experience working in the asset management space with firms such as Fidelity, Invesco, T. Rowe Price, Schroders, BlueBay, UBS, State Street, J.P. Morgan Asset Management, or similar
Key Responsibilities

Gathering and documenting business requirements from asset management stakeholders

Translating requirements into clear user stories and acceptance criteria

Supporting delivery across trading, trade support and investment workflows

Working closely with engineering and QA teams through build, test and release

Participating in agile ceremonies, demos and stakeholder communication
What's On Offer
A base salary (dependent on experience), plus a company bonus scheme, private healthcare, life assurance and a contributory pension. The role offers hybrid working from a Central London office (1-2 days per week), with occasional travel to European offices approximately once every two months.
