SAP PMO Consultant - S/4HANA Transformation Programme

The Opportunity

We are supporting a major UK manufacturing organisation undergoing a large-scale SAP S/4HANA transformation programme and are looking to engage an exceptional SAP PMO Consultant to join the core programme leadership team.

This role is strictly for experienced SAP PMO professionals who have delivered back-to-back SAP transformation programmes, ideally within complex manufacturing environments.

This is not a role for:

• Project Managers looking to step into PMO

• SAP Consultants looking to transition into delivery governance

• Analysts looking for a route into programme management

We are looking for career SAP PMO specialists who live and breathe programme governance, RAID management, reporting, and executive-level communication.

Role Overview

You will play a critical role in the governance, control, reporting, and orchestration of a complex S/4HANA implementation, ensuring that programme leadership have accurate, timely and actionable insight into delivery status, risks, and dependencies.

You will operate at the heart of the programme, working closely with:

• Programme Director

• Programme & Project Managers

• SI/Consulting Partners

• Functional & Technical Workstream Leads

This is a high-visibility, high-impact role where credibility, professionalism, and precision are essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and manage end-to-end PMO governance framework

• Produce high-quality programme reporting for:

  • Steering Committees

  • Executive Sponsors

  • Senior Stakeholders

• Manage integrated master plans across:

  • Functional workstreams

  • Technical delivery

  • Data

  • Cutover

  • Testing

  • Training

• Maintain full ownership of:

  • RAID logs

  • Dependencies

  • Actions

  • Milestones

  • Critical path analysis

• Drive programme cadence, ensuring:

  • Meeting rhythms

  • Reporting cycles

  • Governance checkpoints

• Act as trusted advisor to programme leadership

• Challenge delivery where required - this is not a passive reporting role

• Maintain full programme documentation, audit readiness, and compliance

Essential Experience (Non-Negotiable)

You must demonstrate:

• Back-to-back SAP PMO roles on large-scale transformation programmes

• Strong S/4HANA programme exposure (ECC - S/4 preferred)

• Proven experience within:

  • Complex manufacturing environments

  • Multi-workstream ERP programmes

• Senior stakeholder engagement and board-level reporting

• Deep expertise in:

  • RAID management

  • Integrated planning

  • Programme controls

  • Governance frameworks

This role requires a career SAP PMO professional - not someone using PMO as a stepping stone.
