What you'll do
- Ship from Day 1: You deploy to production on your first day and take full responsibility for your code.
- Build, design, and scale backend systems-APIs, databases, distributed infrastructure-primarily in Python.
- Integrate LLMs and AI systems (LangChain, RAG, multimodal AI, function calling) into production environments.
- Collaborate closely with customers to deploy solutions, gather feedback, iterate fast, and deliver measurable outcomes.
- Step into any problem: scaling infra, debugging complex systems, designing new features, or helping hire the next engineer.
- Operate in an intensely focused, high-velocity environment alongside exceptional teammates.
Experience
- 3+ years of software engineering experience at a top-tier tech company or quant firm, with a strong Back End focus.
- Proven ability to ship production-grade code and own features end-to-end. Signals of Technical Excellence (We evaluate strongly on one or more of these).
- CS or technical degree from a top program.
- Engineering experience at a company known for elite engineering rigor (including quant firms).
- High achievement in competitions (IMO, IOI, ICPC).
- Published or applied research in AI/ML.
Hard Skills
- Strong Back End engineering in Python; experience designing APIs and working with relational databases.
- Experience integrating AI/ML into production systems (LLMs, LangChain, RAG, multimodal pipelines, function calling).
- Familiarity with basic Front End (React) and cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP/Azure); Docker, scalable systems.
