Commercial Manager - Defence

Location: Portsmouth - 2 days a week onsite

Salary: £75,000 - £80,000 plus 20% bonus + benefits

*Must be able to obtain SC Clearance and willing to undergo DV clearance

We are working with a Southeast England based team that are delivering a number of technical products for the defence sector and are looking for a Senior Commercial Manager to join them as they open offices in Bristol

The business themselves are delivering an array of high-tech products to the UK MoD and foreign Governments to enable better use of training and simulation capabilities.

Providing augmented reality training solutions to allow customers to utilise real world systems in a digital environment, creating a virtual world to allow the full range of training effects that's not possible in the real world. Think VR headsets and realistic simulators.

The role would see you managing existing contracts, undertaking negotiations, pricing activities and dynamic contractual risk assessments along with supporting tender and organic growth activities at every level.

There are plenty of opportunities for development, learning and training, as well as continuing to build your network and eventually move into a management position (if you so wish)

They are looking for you to have experience in the following:

• Minimum of 5 years' practical experience in a commercial role within the defence industry.
• In depth knowledge of defence contracting, terms and conditions, regulatory requirements, and industry trends.
• Strong negotiation and commercial decision-making skills.
• Solid understanding of financial principles, reporting, and risk management.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders.
